Patient Care Services

OPD service:

  1. Endocrine, Nutrition and Metabolic diseases OPD (every Tuesday & Friday) at Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine.
  2. Nutritional counselling, Monitoring and Medical Nutritional Therapy provided all outdoor patients treated in this Department as well as referred from other departments of this institution and other medical institutions.
  3. Education and awareness regarding diabetes prevention, malnutrition prevention, living healthy life with diabetes, self-blood glucose monitoring, self-insulin administration techniques etc.
  4. Treatment of diabetic complications like neuropathy, CVD, nephropathy, diabetic foot ulcer etc. with special care.

In patient service:

  1. Admitting patients to Carmichael Hospital for Tropical Diseases.
  2. Visiting referred cases by other departments of Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine.
  3. Metabolic, Endocrinological and Nutritional management to patients treated under other departments.
